From our founder Gena: "The 'Aha' moment came from a day at the pool. I was watching my daughter swim, and noticed that every time she came up for air, she would rub underneath her eyes. I realized that was the reason she was always getting red cheeks no matter how many times I reapplied sunscreen.
I scoured the internet for a product that was waterproof and would protect my daughters cheeks, cover my dad's nose that was sensitive from skin cancer removal, and help fade the melasma on my forehead. When I couldn't find what I was looking for, I knew I needed to do invent it myself.

Sun Patch is physical sunblock in the form of a waterproof reusable patch.
It is targeted sunblock for areas that are more prone to sun damage to give all-day protection where needed most!

The DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPF + UPF
UPF measures both UVB and UVA rays, while SPF measures only UVB rays.
According to skincancer.org Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (UVB/UVA) a fabric allows to penetrate to reach your skin. Sun Patch is a physical barrier that blocks 99.8% of rays before ever reaching your skin.
Sun Protection Factor, or SPF, is based on the time it takes for UV-exposed skin to redden.
Sun Patches are made with a high grade quality silicone that is favored by the medical community for healing burns and scars. This is because silicone acts as a second epidermal layer, and promotes skin's natural moisture while acting as a protective barrier.
Our innovative patent-pending material infuses silicone with zinc-oxide (considered one of the safest and most effective ingredients for sunscreen) to also block 99.8% of UVA/UVB rays all day!
Sun Patches use a 100% silicone biocompatible adhesive gel. No chemicals or additives are added to increase stick!

USAGE
To get all-day stick, it is so important to start with clean dry skin. We can't say this enough!
APPLICATION STEPS:
- Cleanse or wipe off any makeup or skincare from skin.
- Apply Sun Patch to clean dry skin.
- Use skincare, makeup, or sunscreen after Sun Patch is applied.
Yes! Reusing your Sun Patches is super easy!
- Remove Sun Patches from skin and rinse under warm water.
- Let air-dry sticky side up (this re-activates the stickiness).
- Once dry, you can store your patches on the clear liner or a clean surface (sometimes we use our bathroom mirror).
Sun Patch is targeted sunblock that is meant to be used with traditional sunscreen. When worn with sunscreen, we have not experienced or had complaints about getting tan lines :)

HOW WE COMPARE
- No sunscreen is waterproof, only water resistant. Even then, water resistant sunscreen still needs to be re-applied at least every 40-80 minutes.
- Sun Patches are waterproof because they do not break down or lose effectiveness in water. They can be applied once, and maintain their UPF 50+ rating all day!
- A common complaint with zinc sticks and clay are the mess, especially for kids! Sun Patches can be rubbed and touched and won't rub off or stain clothes.
- We love zinc and clay for being a super clean ingredients! But when applied directly to the skin, it can be very drying. Sun Patches have zinc oxide infused into our patent pending silicone material, so it actually promotes hydration, giving your skin a drink of water.
- Not only is UPF fabric tape not made for the water, and it's not reusable like Sun Patches.
- They can also be uncomfortable to remove from the skin, and have chemicals that cause irritation.
- Sun Patches stick all day but remove gently and are hypoallergenic for even the most sensitive skin!

WHEN WILL I GET MY ORDER?
All orders are same day if placed before 3 PM PST. Shipping is typically 2-4 days or 4-7 days depending on location. Holidays and National events may delay these times. Discounts or promotional items cannot be combined.
WHERE DO YOU CURRENTLY SHIP TO?
Free Shipping for orders over $35 applies to US contiguous orders only. Does not apply to custom orders. All custom orders will be charged for shipping. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or international locations will have additional charges and/or rates due to US shipping restrictions.
I THINK MY ORDER WAS LOST OR STOLEN. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Once we transfer Sun Patch orders into our shippers care they are responsible for delivering your order. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they are shown as delivered. However, please email us within 5 days of your scheduled delivery and we can attempt to assist you and contact your mail carrier to file a claim.
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEM, CONTACT US after receiving your order. Please email us at hello@sunpatch.com with your order number and a photo of the product you received.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of your order date for orders placed on sunpatch.com and shipping within the contiguous United States. After we receive your returned items, we will process your refund onto your original form of payment. Original shipping and handling fees and “Duties & Taxes Reimbursements” will not be refunded. Please allow 5-10 business days from receipt of your returned item(s) for your refund to post. Please note that all sales outside of the contiguous US (Hawaii and Alaska), APO/FPO addresses, and international addresses are final. HOW DO I RETURN MY ITEM?
Email us at hello@sunpatch.com that you would like to return your items to receive instructions and return address. Drop off your items in a package at the closest FedEx or USPS location for return.
HOW IS MY MONEY RETURNED?
Once we receive your item(s), please allow up to 10 working days for us to process your refund. PayPal / Credit / Debit Cards: If you paid via PayPal, your refund will be issued back to the applicable account.
